My first effort with encaustics. This is a very interesting medium with a multitude of variables to deal with – namely hot and cold. As it’s wax based I’m finding that I need to practice quite a bit to achieve certain results. Needless to say it’s challenging but a lot of fun.

It’s just a sexy beast.
